We Were Awkward At First

2020

What might it mean to collaborate with someone or something? We were awkward at first prods this question with imagined collaborators in the forms of bubble wrap, memory foam, a personal fan and a plastic chair. Through a series of gestures and vignettes, the piece explores the heavy in the light and the magical in the daily.

Originally presented at FOFA Gallery (Nov. 2020, under the title We were awkward at first but then it was ok) consisting of a series of written performance scores and a video performance.
