Intimacy for Stage and Screen
An intimacy coordinator (film/tv) or intimacy director (live performance) guides productions and performers with a consent-forward process to safely handle scenes with nudity, intimacy, or sensitive subject matter. We facilitate communication, movement coaching, and choreography.
We are involved from prep to production: we facilitate communication about the artistic vision, iron out visual and technical aspects of filming/staging, and establish performers’ informed and ongoing consent. We also help choreograph scenes and offer movement coaching to achieve authentic storytelling. We ensure productions follow union standards and best practices to create a safe and respectful work environment that is empowering for both cast and crew.
